Shelia Romig, Sr. Program Manager
Ms. Romig manages our grant team providing guidance with her knowledge and expertise through her 16 years’ experience of FEMA Public Assistance.
Shelia has managed and advised high-profile clients, representing a portfolio of grants representing over $2.1 billion of obligated federal dollars from the beginning of her tenure and worked 15 declared disaster related events.
In addition, her extensive and varied experience includes Public Assistance Grants Management, Hazard Mitigation (406 and 404), Closeout, research, and data analysis for writing project versions for final reconciliations, as well as formulating new eligible scope and costs. Skilled in problem solving, negotiation, organizational management, construction planning, and project delivery, Shelia specializes in restoration of infrastructure and communities from devastating impacts to an improved state of resilience.
Ms. Romig provides leadership and guidance for the unique needs of client communities following disasters and disruptions. Clients range from municipal government to state agencies. Each community has its own unique circumstances. Shelia recognizes the factors that are most critical and finds solutions tailor-made to local conditions.
Ms. Romig’s invaluable experience related to disaster recovery federal grant funding includes delivering training programs for the LA Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) Closeout Division, as well as onboarding of new employees. She has experience writing and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) specific to Reimbursement Process and Closeout of federal grant programs. She also has significant experience in problem resolution, finance, and federal and state compliance.
