Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, Louisiana | 2021 Hurricane Ida Recovery | FEMA-DR-4611
The Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux (DOHT) was impacted by Hurricane Ida in August 2021. The Diocese facilities, which include both Parish/church buildings, and schools, were damaged or destroyed by high wind impacts. In Louisiana, Hurricane Ida (4611-DR-LA) was declared on August 29, 2021.
The D.A. Lamont Consulting Services team is providing the Diocese with assistance and management of both the insurance and FEMA claims. Our team brings best practices in response and recovery strategies, assessment and documentation of physical and economic damages, and reconstruction strategies for rebuilding and mitigating critical infrastructure and facilities. Our objective is to assist the Diocese in pursuits with FEMA Public Assistance and insurance, as well as taking advantage of other federal funding sources. Services to the Diocese included project development, funding reimbursements, closeouts, audits, appeals, and funding pursuits.
