Diocese of Lake Charles, Louisiana | 2020 Hurricane Laura Recovery | FEMA-DR-4599
Hurricane Laura made landfall on August 27, 2020, as a Category 4 hurricane in Southwest Louisiana with 150 mph winds and over 9 feet of storm surge. More than 500 structures throughout the civil five parish territory of the Diocese of Lake Charles were affected with an estimated $135 million in total damages.
Our Technical Team has been instrumental in providing the data required by FEMA to validate cost and damages that lead to funding. Our team brings best practices in response and recovery strategies, assessment and documentation of physical and economic damages, and reconstruction strategies for rebuilding and mitigating critical infrastructure and facilities. The D.A. Lamont Team are providing the Diocese with assistance and management of both the insurance and FEMA Claims.
