Weld County, Colorado | 2013 Flooding Response and Recovery | FEMA-DR-414

In October 2013, Weld County sustained heavy rains for days, flooding rivers and destroying homes and roads across Northern Colorado.

The D.A. Lamont Team partnered with BASE Tactical to provide Weld County with best practices which included response and recovery strategies, assessment and documentation of physical and economic damages, and reconstruction strategies for rebuilding and mitigating critical infrastructure and facilities. Our objective was to assist the County in pursuits with FEMA PA, HMGP and CDBG-DR and to take advantage of FHWA and NRCS funding sources. 

Weld County has received more than $20 million in Federal Assistance. The services we provided to Weld County included reimbursements, closeouts, audits, and appeals, for funding pursuits thorough FEMA, CDBG-DR, FHWA and HMGP. Relevant Program Elements included: recovery and mitigation of road and bridge infrastructure, federal and state coordination, federal aid pursuits, funding pursuits, technical field operations management, FEMA, FHWA-DR, CDBG-DR, and reimbursement support.
